P.S.: In this case it's not the money, it's really just the time. |
This better be for real, Shumi better not have a gearbox failure, tire failure, accident or any sort of crap...I WANT to see Ferrari at number 1 dammit
|
Good lap from Villeneuve finally!
The lap from Christijan Albers was amazing - he was inches from the wall in Sector 2 on his run. Montoya also came pretty close to the wall as well. Williams are really suffering. Steve Matchett, a respected commentator on Speed was speculating that the BMW unit was lower on power compared to its rivals and as a result they were forced to run with low downforce settings to compensate. Hence the car was looking quite way-ward in the twisty bits. Interesting keeping mind all the dispring comments made by BMW on the quality of the Williams chassis. It looks liek teh ball has been dropped by BMW this time. Good to Schumi on P2 after a long time (Bahrain was the last I believe). I hope he has sufficient fuel onboard compared to the guys around him. I think Alonso is carrying more fuel along with Kimi. |
What the hell M Schumacher on the front row! He must be running light :P
|
Possibly. Or maybe he's finally found form.

It seems like spanish newspapers are reporting that Alonso's engine is/was leaking oil and that the team is trying to repair it to avoid an engine change.
Don't know how reliable this information is though, specially since the spanish newspapers tend to dramatize when it comes to Alonso (see Imola). |
stupid minardi driver,, MS could have been even closer during teh end of the race, if he didtn block him
|
interesting race, and quite fortunate for Ferrari...Button, JBM, FA, GF all out of the race...not convinced of the ferrari car...MS got blown out at the start and had no answer for the front runners...but very fortunate except where was the rain, could have been Ferrari 1,2...congrats to Kimi. McLaren>Renault...oh yah Montoya is a dumbass

Looks like McLaren is like the USSR of the past - everyone is equal ... only some are a littme lore equal :D Good result for Ferrari! Barrichello drove brilliantly to get all the way to the front. Great job by Michael. Another heart-breaker for Fisi - poor guy cant catch a break! I am happy in a way that Alonso's car DNF'd - it will reduce the gap between him and Raikkonnen. |

And most of the incidents were drive's fault, so no luck there. The start by the Renault's and McLaren's was amazing! And once again, on the first part of the race, Ferrari's pace was rubbish, but a great result overall. :D Quote:

Very Stupid Quote from Jenson:
"I'd rather crash in third than finish fourth..." http://www.planet-f1.com/news/story_19877.shtml |
^not good from a person who couldn't even get fourth in this season...so far
and hooray for Kimi. It's a good thing that Renault isn't getting this season too easily. |
Oh man i missed this gp...i tried my best to stay up, but 2:45AM i was stuffed after working on cars all day, i went to bed 5mins after the race started...Good thing you guys post up decent reviews!
Minardi blocking schui aye...i can just see that too, pricks! Relieved to see Ferrari up there again..but with those DNF's it seems the place to be. |
A great race! Being a McLaren fan, i can't help but be disappointed at the DQ of JPM. They should have pitted both of them in and have Kimi wait. MS was coming in the same lap anyway and they had what, like 30 secs lead over him. Kimi would have had to wait 15 secs or less behind JPM and still be able to get back out 1-2.
Just wondering why the laptimes of McLaren are all over the place? They were on the softer compound but they were slower against the Renaults on the harder tyres. Then they started catching up. Is it that the harder tyres take the punishment from the get go while the softer tyre runners have to nurse their tyres with the heavy fuel load? can't wait for Indy!!!! go McLaren!!!! |
