Looks pretty sweet in white!
Still, that's a porsche with the engine in the wrong place ;) |
That custom shot shows what its all about - that Porsche badge on the bonnet, something very special.
Congrats on the car, now we need to have a race. |
congratz :D
and hell no the engine's in a fine place, front engined porsches are very very good cars, the 928 (1 of my fave porsches ever) was even higher placed than the 911 :P really nice pic by the castle btw, looks really classy... would've been nice if u couldve taken more, its the perfect background 8) |
Congrats with your Porsche, Matteo. But we need more pics :D

And yes, I know ppl would say a badge is a badge and there are better cars with less impressive badges, but really can't help. Seeing that badge makes me feel good! Sorry RC :D Definitely what counts is the sensations I get at the wheel, and they are top stuff, but still, seeing that badge on my car is not totally shitty :D Quote:

If the badge means more than the drive, I fear your next Porker will be a Boxster.. not a 911... ;) |
I am really happy for you Matteo, best wishes for your new relationship

The tires looks like pretty darn new.
When I was a kid...when...not really a kid, but younger, the 6 squarish tail light appeals alot to me for some reason. After looking at your car, the feeling rushes back. |

I see the M3 girls doing it to the TSX's all the time... I here in the UK they have revving contests in the McDonalds parking lots.. ;) |
Lovely car TT! It looks to be in fantastic condition. And from what I can recall the engine was praised for being very torquey.
I am sure the car will be real fun to drive. A lot of people use their 944s for autocrossing - its perfectly balanced and very agile - so the car has lots of potential if you choose to use it that way! Post some pics of the interior when you get a chance. Also post some driving impressions after you have driven the car for a couple weeks. |
I will, I will.
And yes, definitely those 280 Nm of torque feels plenty enough to just slot an higher gear and keep the stick there as long as you want. On the mountain pass I had to take this weekend twice to go and come back from Lausanne, it was obviously so much easier than with my 320 which had to be revved like hell to stay on boil and carry decent speed. The 944 just swallow those hairpins like a straight line, pulling away in 2nd or 3rd with no fuss when the BMW was struggling in 2nd and has sometimes to be dropped even in 1st to jump toward the next corner. Also, I am quite surprised by the reaction of everybody about the S2, online or not. I know most ppl tend to be polite and nod and smile when they see you are so happy about something, even when they disagree or thing the given thing is utter crap. Yet, in this case it really seems everybody likes this little sweetie! At first I was sure to just read many "too bad it's not a real Porsche" or "ah, why white?" or "uhm.. looks cheap and old"... Instead, everybody just stare at it for minutes, walking around it once, twice or even more, ask to sit inside and just congratulate me. Same goes here online! Definitely all of this makes me think I really did the right thing! The first 1000 or so km are gone in a glimpse, can't wait for the next ones to come and go! |
Beautiful 944 TT!!! Since I'm finally off the baby-bottle as it were and have to find a car of my own, I've been looking at the 944, 300ZX, RX7 and a few others, so I'm really interested to hear what you think of the 944, as it's definitely the top choice on my shortlist.
Enjoy it my friend! |
Dices are a must on any pre-2000 car IMO ;)
Don't touch my dices :D |
lol u asked us to say nothing about them so i wont... but DAMN... ow sry :P
btw dont listen to dani, keep the weels it's got now, they're beautiful, they were made for the car, it just looks so classy with them |
The more I look at them the more they seem to fit the car indeed.
And the more I think about the Fuchs, the more I believe they are ok on 70s or 80s cars but not on a 90 model :bah: |
Nice! I remember I went to a car show and saw one of these bitches modded to like over 500 HP and they did a dyno on it and it was just amazing! (I might have pic)
I didnt talk to the owner since there were too many people round and I coulndt find him but from this guy I know he said he has seen it in the Autocross club or whatever of Tallasshaee, FL and he kills em all the time. Anyways nice job on the purchase! Enjoy it. :D |
Beautiful 944.. looks a days old.
Any plans on track modifications? or will this just be your daily driver? |
Got any photos of the interior yet?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...4spyder_up.jpg  Congrats on the P-car it's a gorgeous setup. Now you can come up to Belgium next May for Porsche Days at Spa-Francorchamps and take part in the experience. As for the wheels those are the correct wheels for that year and the Fuchs, as you said, are for the older models of 944's and so on. Enjoy it in good health! |

CONGRATS TT! And welcome to the P-car club! Remember, what's the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine? The porcupine has the prinks on the outside. Enjoy the car!

finally a couple of interior pics |
The interior condition is everybit as good as the exterior...the leather....the dash....the dice....ops...scratch that
Teasing aside, I think it's a great great buy. BIG CONGRATS again :) |
Wow. Lookin at that interior it seems you have found a MINT 944.. very nice find and buy! I'm sure you are very happy and do not feel any buyers remorse! If you do, go out and drive it until you start smiling! |
Leave the radio-cassette and just listen to the exhuast note, especially through tunnels! :D
Nice stuff TT. |
im gonna ask a question and im probably a total retard for not knowing.....to me i always thought of the 944 as a turbo and thats it,the one i went in was justa modded 944 turbo.....now over the past few days i now know of one called a 944 turbo S2,what difference is that to a regular turbo? also today i had my car in for the MOT and the woman who works there has just got a 944 and im sure it said on the back "944 CS".......whats this model?
|
Not all 944's were turbo. TT has the natuarally apsirated, non turbo version.
|
The 944 started it's life as a direct evolution of the 924, which had it's Audi engine and wasn't really considered a real Porsche.
The basic models were down to 150 hp. Then there was an S version, with upgraded engine, up to 180 or 190 and other details. Then came the Turbo and S2. The S2 is visually a Turbo lookalike, taking all the body mods from it. But it's a naturally aspired 3 liters 4 pot, not a turbo As for a Clubsport version, there wasn't an official one afaik. I might be wrong or it could be just somebody's private idea ;) |
Congrats TT, very nice
|
Congrats TT, car looks like it is in great condition! Like I said in my other post, about 10 years ago, I was really close to buying one of these.
So what are your plans for mods? |
Honestly, so far no mods aside from the muffler: it's my daily drive, not a track weapon or a ricer basis ;) and I think it's a beautiful shape anyway as it is ;)
BTW, today I had to pull a tank out of troubles ;) http://img143.imagevenue.com/loc487/..._122_487lo.jpg |
congrats for ur new ride!!!
definitely its an amazing car for a big name Porsche. what i like about ur car is the color, that makes all the details show in a beautiful look. TT, plz post pics with head lamps open, i think it will be more sexy. Enjoy the ride, and drive safely :D |
