Daniel Craig can't drive...

Quote:

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Daniel Craig stunned James Bond bosses when he couldn't drive 007's classic car.

Filmmakers had transported Bond's original Aston Martin DB5 to the Bahamas to shoot new movie 'Casino Royale'.

But the star confessed he didn't have a license to drive the manual car, which Sean Connery drove when he played the dashing spy.

The 39-year-old reportedly said: "Er... I don't do gears."

An insider is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "They've started shooting here and are using the old DB5, which is absolutely sensational. It was shipped over and was ready to go but then we found out he can't drive a manual car.

"So we have had to adapt it so it's like an automatic. You don't expect that with James Bond, to be honest."

Last year, Craig admitted he is struggling to overcome his biggest fear to play Bond - he's terrified of guns.

The star will have to handle weapons in the film but said he was left petrified after seeing a real life bullet wound.

He said at the time: "I hate handguns. They are used to shoot people and as long as they are around, people will shoot each other.

"I've seen a bullet wound and it was a mess."

Makes no sense.. fire his sorry arse on the spot.

If he "doesn't do gear" - go learn how.

Serious actors learn karate, horse-back riding, rugby, typing, foreign languages - hell they even gain weight, lose weight and cut their hair off for parts -- where does he get off "not doing gears" in a Bond movie?

Angry Bond fans threaten to boycott Casino Royale, new 007 Daniel Craig
February 21, 2006

NEW YORK (AP) - They're shaken, stirred and just plain angry. And several months late with their response.

A group of James Bond fans have launched a website,www.craignotbond.com to protest British actor Daniel Craig replacing Pierce Brosnan in the 007 film franchise, and boycott the upcoming Bond movie Casino Royale.

The fair-haired Craig, whose recent screen credits include Munich and The Jacket, was tapped last October to play the secret-agent icon.

"EON Productions angered fans around the world when they fired Pierce Brosnan at the height of his popularity as Bond," said a statement on the site. "To add insult to injury, EON cast a short, blond, odd-looking Daniel Craig in the role of Bond."

"Craig, described by the New York Times as having a 'pale, flattened face and large, fleshy ears' is a terrible choice for Bond. If EON Productions and Sony Pictures will not accept they've made a big mistake, then Bond fans promise to boycott Casino Royale!"

Calls by The Associated Press to EON Productions and a representative for Craig were not immediately returned Tuesday.

Brosnan stepped into the shoes of dashing predecessors Sean Connery and Roger Moore to play a blue-eyed, dark-haired Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

In its statement, the website claimed EON did not want to pay for Brosnan or other high-profile actors Hugh Jackman and Clive Owen as replacements.

"Er... Sorry ladies I don't do women."

What a homo.. Not very Bond-ish at all.. He was pretty good in Münich though.

For the haters.. I say let's give a fair chance, then we'll see.

I guess he likes to be driven....
if you know what I mean

5vz-fe 02-25-2006 12:52 AM

Maybe big Caddy should be Bond's new car lol, that guy is pathetic. Do some research on DB5....and learn it before hand......retard

Mattk 02-25-2006 09:07 AM

These criagnotbond people are onto something.

He's ugly, awkward-looking, looks kind of stupid, and it turns out he is. If he doesn't do gears, he should learn how. I'm sure this shortcoming can be rectified with a few hours of instruction, and what's with the phobia of guns? James Bond swears by his guns.

Yeah exactly, I was looking forward to this movie too, but now, I don't think I am all that into watching it anymore.

That's too bad. Next thing he'll say, "Umm, I don't really like Martinis. I don't drink alcohol, mineral water please." Or how about "I don't like girls, could we cast a few Bond Guys instead?"

Hey is it too late to bring back Pierce?

How about fear of breaking his nails?

You'd never catch James Bond having a manicure, but actor Daniel Craig certainly likes to pamper himself.

While Bond is fast cars, guns and girls, Daniel Craig is nail files, baby lotion and wet wipes.

Dan has shocked workers on new 007 movie Casino Royal by asking for beauty products to be delivered to his trailer.

While these demands are slightly feminine, there is nothing ladylike about Dan's body - according to two women who broke into his trailer when he was naked!

Dan is sure to have got the fright of his life when the pair got a glimpse of him cooling down from the heat in the Bahamas.

The actor has now apparently been give the nickname Big Willy after the two women started rumours of his big talent!

It is certainly some light relief from all the slating the actor has received from 007 fans and critics in the recent weeks, but staff on set are predicting the film will be a huge success.

ae86_16v 03-01-2006 10:45 AM

^ I hope his ass gets fired after the first movie. Too bad though, the Casino Royale storyline seem so good and he might ruin it.

dutchmasterflex 03-01-2006 12:02 PM

haha.. I think they should keep him on the set just so we can have Arman hunt him and down and kick his ass..

Why the hell did they want this guy anyway?

cooperluke 03-01-2006 12:22 PM

What a lamer.... A Bond that can't drive??? A DB5 with auto gears?? :? :?

nthfinity 03-01-2006 03:44 PM

although i've never been a big fan of daniel craig... i have to say this
Pierce also cannot drive a manuel transmission, and never has for any bond film!

oh, and one of the quotes forgot to mention his best bond... Goldeneye ;) how can you top a tank drving through St-Petersberg  you cant.

personally, i'd say Clive Owen is the ideal bond... but i dont think he wants to be Bond...

Mattk 03-01-2006 07:32 PM

Brosnan can't drive manual very well, but he can, and has, driven manual cars in real life. Not very well, but at least he can do it.

RAMMIUS 03-02-2006 04:28 AM

:roflmao: this is the new type of Bond : meaning totally gay

How did he got the job ? :?

Mattk 03-02-2006 08:22 AM

He was probably the best they could find.

Mattk 03-03-2006 09:05 AM

Well Pierce Brosnan wanted to go on, but the producers wouldn't let him.

hmm... how old was Connery in 'you live only twice' ? (or was another one his last 007 film?)

c0wb0y007 03-04-2006 07:02 AM

Besides being bad at driving I don't think he makes a cool James Bond either.

Those James Bond movies are the perfect example that the older movies are much cooler than the new stuff.
I find those new movies overdone, but the bond-gilrs are always nice  :D

I have read that they gave him a Ford Mondeo instead of an Aston ... so it all makes sense 8)
Now I hope that the bond-girls don't degrade in the same way

Rubbish. Roger Moore played Bond until he was well into his fifties.

Apparantelly Ford has paid 14mln dollars for the crew to use their cars in the film.

Mattk 03-05-2006 09:43 PM

They could probably do with the exposure.
