I realize that RC, and I definitly agree with it. But I though that Ferrari had some sort of system that said they would buy back the car if the owner was going to sell it. That way they would have complete control over who has these cars. Well, thats what they wanted anyway.

That was only true (as far as I can recall) for the cars that they have been able to "sell" in the USA as Lease to buy" only options.

So you are in effect renting it for the term of the lease and then after that term is over, you retain the title and can do what you want with the car.

This is how they tried to control the US F50 "speculator buyers".

But all that really does is drive the price of the cars in other countries up as wealthy US punters throw dollars at the foreign owners.

It's a noble idea of Ferrari - but not very practicle or customer friendly.. :)

Well technically it's an automatic since there is no clutch pedal

yah i've bid on cars from them before, look they have 0 feedback not because they are a bad dealer its because they have redicously high reserves :( people like them ruin the fun of ebay :lol: they had two enzos at the auto show this weekend also for sale. one asking price was 1.1 and the other 1.2. someone we know totalled his also for sale on ebay a few months ago and now has another one.

Well that metal plate to the left is a foot rest NOT a Clutch pedal.

The car has an F1 tranny without fully auto mode.

Uhm - the "third" pedal to the right is an - um - reflection... and the one to the left is the foot rest.. ;)

A few weeks ago an Enzo was sold on the Swiss Ebay for 1.200.050 Swiss francs or 785.000 euro.




I would technically classify it as a manual. Since it is a manual, but only has some fancy electronics, hydraulically actuated clutch and shift selector. A real automatic looks completely different from inside.

But that’s of course just another way of looking at it ;)

Well probably this is a good deal for the first owner, he's going to profit probably something arround US$ 100k after using one of the most amazing cars ever made for six months to a year.
Also is a good deal for someone that it's not at Ferrari VIP list and has more or less US$750k to spend on a car.

The highest bidder is now at more than 1.1 million USD, hehe so it isnt much of a deal, this one will be interesting to watch as it approaches twice the list price from 2003. :shock:

i think you make an aggrement with the ferrari before buying the car. if i am correct you had to sign an aggrement when you was buying an f50 stating that you will not sell it within 5 years and you should report the new owner to the ferrari. but i am not sure. i remember it incorrect
