A new car for my dad - 530i
 

After a horrible time with a Chrysler Voyager we upgraded to something with more quality. :D I'm only 16 myself, so no car for me yet :(

The quality of the pics is not that shabby dude, and the E60 in black is very very nice!

We've been to 2 different BMW dealers to make an offer for the old Voyager. This second one offered TWICE as much for the Voyager as the other dealer, so my dad ordered the 530 the same day! :shock:

Nice car, I'm still trying to convince my dad that an E39 540i or M5 is the car for him hehe.

yep, great car....I'm a big fan of the current 5-series. :D

The dealers kept hammering we should have a diesel with auto. But I kept hammering we should have a petrol with manual. Happy he chose my opinion :)

Our family is also on the verge to buy a new car, stands between the new A6 or a 525 o 530. Is that a tough choice or what? (take the fking bmw!)

I have yet to see a manual E60 :( come to think of it...i have yet to see a customer owned SMG E60....everyone is to damn lazy to get a stick :?


davide, if you get the 530i, get one with the sport package. not as fun as the 545i, but still fun :wink:

good point a 3,5, or 6 with out sport is no fun at all and doesn't look nearly as good! 530 is almost funner then 545 because you can push it alot harder though without going nearly as fast. In my 540 m-sport with steptronic if i kicked it down a gear and let it rev a little id already be goin 30-40mph faster! :lol: Easy to smoke people after you gave it a second but then you'd be going too fast.

you can't tell the difference between the sport packages and non sport unless you have a tape measure. the only difference is the ride height. and maybe the rims, depending on which ones were purchased with the car :wink:

hammering the 545 and then jumping on the brakes to turn hard with the AFS is WAAAAYYY more fun than a 530. but i prefer a standard gearbox to the steptronic. The delay in the torque converter is just annoying. when i want acceleration, i want acceleration NOW :D :twisted:

My dad also looked at the A6, but that car is not as stylish and fined out as the E60, also the A6 doesn't have RWD. Between the 530 and 525 i'd have the 530, it's a better engine and it runs smoother! (and it goes faster :twisted: )

Black suits the 5 series best IMO. But I would chosen for different rims.

Me and my dad test drove a 545i but we went for the E46 M3 instead :D!!
