AMS-TV high speed test 2006 airs today! (Veyron top speed!)
 

I´ve just seen that this great feature, which is also discussed in the Magazine scans section (http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?p=724844, airs today here in Germany at 5 pm (1hour 30min from now). Please, somebody who has German TV has to capture it!!!

I watched it, but i have to say i´m a bit disappointed :( Unlike the tests in previous years, this was not a single feature where the runs were actually shown, but the shows presenter Peter Stützer mostly talking about the cars rather than showing the actual top speed runs :( He was also passenger in the Veyron, but as for the actual top speed runs there has to be only one person in the car. So in that run they didn´t push the throttle completely and "only" did 360 km/h or so. That was pretty much all footage from the inside of the Veyron.
Than there were the 0-200 km/h runs, but instead of showing the Veyrons impressive accelleration which anybody wants to see they showed the SLR :(
Damn, this feature could have been so much better...

maybe there will be a part II :) anywho.. i still wanna watch it.. (can't be worse then 5th gear right :P :lol: )

Hi guys, i wanted to drop a short note and say that as i write this i am downloading the episode thanks to a member on CarPassion.com. Once it's downloaded i will upload it to YouTube. Give me about an hour and a half. :)

YouTube will not be used because of the time length restrictions. As i write this i'm working on uploading it to Google video for everybody, nthfinity has offered his FTP site for the video, i have had problems accessing the site, but we should have it soon. The google link will come first, but i promise you a download link will follow.

Oh and i've started a download to Rapidshare just in case.

Ok guys, i have done everything in my power, 2 hours of fucking work and i'm pissed, YouTube wouldn't accept the video because it was too long and i've now uploaded it to Google video, but it's being proccessed

Edit- the viper looked out of place, so did the vette.. but a "z06" cabrio, auto? is there such a thing? it looked like a normal vette to me..

Nope, there's no such thing as a carbiolet Z06, nor an automatic Z06 :wink: I think they threw the film together fast, so whatever they had got in there. :P
