Chaos has a new ride!
 

A few weeks ago I decided to get rid of my old but trusty corolla, so I sold it and last week I bought my first new car!!! It´s a 2007 Toyota Corolla XLi, it´s nothing compared to some of the cars on this site, but it is my own and bought with my own money wich makes me feel quite good about it...

Ahhh, the new vehicle. Driving nowhere for no reason. Walking outside, looking at it, then going back inside. And of course, the parking lot double-take. Enjoy!

just a question.. why get a new car? you could have got a nicer used car for less..

Well remember I live in Nicaragua, so used cars are usually pretty beat up and there's not really much to choose from, most cars are Toyota or Hyundais and nice cars are way overpriced, even used ones...besides I work as a Tech Asistant in a Toyota Dealer...soooo I got employee discount :D

i think its fine just the way it is.

besides, wouldnt the cost of more rim, and less tire equate to money to actually make a better handling, or more powerful car?

i mean, thats just more my approach. to me, asthetics are important, but primarely after you already are at an extreme level of performance.

nice chaos, looks good. what kind of gas milage are you getting in there? i am kind of in the market for a new car and i would love to get an old Ferrari/Porche/BMW etc. but something that sips gas would make more sense.

a 308 really sips gas nicely even when driving hard; 2 hours of hard driving, and only a little over a 1/4 tank was gone... :)

yes in comparison to the world we are still low on the list. but a 308 would be nice to own.

i guess pretty high.. engine rebuild etc.. never gonna be cheap cheap.. :wink:

if you find a good one, its not 'that' bad

but, you have to factor in the MAJOR service each year, costing at about $7500 +- a wee bit

Hey what ya know. We have a car that is like that as well. (It's my sisters car.)
Ours is a 04 Corolla S.

The car is not that bad actually. But it could be a bit faster on the accel and up hill. I hate going up hill in it. Currently my sister is gone and wont be back until 1 week and I have been driving/abusing her car ever since. :roll:
I think I got pics of it uploaded already but let4 me see if i can find my camera and get some current pics. :)

Enjoy the car man its a pretty good choice. Very good gas millage. It has the best gas milliage out of all the cars in my immiedate family.

Congrats on your new car. I have used that phrase before, but I don't always lterally mean "new" car. Must be a very nice feeling, knowing you are the first owner to this car, having chosen the colour, the trim etc.

they go for what? about 30K i think..? dude.. 7.5K is a lot for a 30K car ;) thats why its never gonna be cheap to have one..
