If this was a coupe it would have been very nice looking, but a convertible with a wing like that :shock: :x

I love S2000's, but this is a waste of time. If they wanted to do something special...give us a Type-R with reduced weight and 270+ hp. <<< That would be news.

Actually, you get the worst of both worlds. You won't get the structural rigidity of a coupe, and you don't get the convinent of the electrical convertible top. Plus, you gotta store that freaking thing somewhere coz it won't fit in the trunk.

NO really. The more I look at it, the more im like......WTF.

What American executive influenced them into producing this thing. This is the first automobile from Honda that I think looks like an aftermarket side show.

What the hell is the spoiler for. To add more downforce to the a car with the same power characteristics as before. It is supposed to be much faster around a circuit than a standard model so maybe its there for high speed handling purposes.

This sucks......Im upset....I want a Type-R

:roll: its just a Prototype.. and hell to me anything that even sounds like a Hardcore version of the S2000 is pretty sweet..

PS- I'm sure it wont have that spoiler on the production model.. maybe as an option.. :bah:

You forgot to tell that the power is up to around 257 hp (using the American spec 2.2L engine). Not that that'll help a lot, but still... :wink:

there is a VERY simple way Honda could have made the S2000 great.........its called a FACTORY TURBO.

The S2000 is a heavy car. Well, its lighter than some but thats all relative...it isnt light. The engine was great but it was always pulling too much weight.

I always thought a Lotus Elise would be best served by an S2000 engine instead of that Toyota Celica engine....................

anyway........

Well the S2000 chassis was designed to be "just as rigid" as if it had a regular hard top... so... you do get the best of both!

what a waste of an s2000... that car was perfectly balanced from factory .. the 2ltr engine was more then enough...

Making a special edition of the S2000 is useless since its 8 years old

Lazy Honda Should've replaced the NSX and S2000 since ages, specially that the S2000 is seriously underpowered compared to its current rivals
