Ford GT vs. Nissan GTR... Suprise! Ford is faster!

The out of production Ford GT is .2 seconds faster on a tight tiny coned air strip deal.... with plenty of speed available still... but they pick the GTR? Find me one person who would take a GTR over a GT, and I'll find you a internet fanboy ;)

I remember watching one of the videos in GT5p where it say Yamauchi is a big Ford GT fan.

So perhaps, they support mr. Polyphony and have his favorite car win on purpose so he will let them test his cars/ games in the future?.... getting "plugs" etc. ?

I don't think the Ford GT need any favoring. I really like how they analyze the lap.

Naw, 5vz, I'm just being a bit facetious ..... pointing out the obvious to some fanboys on how magazines generally work ;) You are a well veneered man and don't need such to be dissected for you.

Thanks for such credit, but I am secretly a Porsche fanboy myself.

I like proper sportscars... Porsches happen to fit that definition ;)

Enzo
F40
CGT
FGT
355 GTB
911 GT3
Z06
.... so on so forth

Simply gorgeous, I have to agree with the owner in thinking the GT's styling is one of the most beautiful ever. I was on the edge when the Tungsten came out, but when I saw one in real life, I think that's the best color for the car.

It's timeless.

I would do unspeakable things to have one of these. And I wouldn't give a second thought of choosing this over the pentium processor that is the GT-R.

I don't like how boring the gtr sounds

fordgt84 06-07-2008 01:09 PM

oh hell yeah

i saw a Ford GT in geneva yesterday in the exact same color (i never have a camera handy when i need one, damn it !!), it looks stunning ... and i'm glad that the GT is able show the gtr the fast way around the track.

enzoferrari 06-07-2008 01:28 PM

Ill take the FORD GT even if it was 100000secs slower!!

Hmm, anyone notice that the Ford GT took the high speed transitions better than the GT-R? I thought that was where the GT-R and its magic traction was supposed to shine. Oh wait, it still weighs 400 some odd pounds than the Ford GT. It looks like physics still exist.

Lies I tell you .. Nissan banished physics a long time ago :P

pagani 06-07-2008 02:58 PM

At least the older gtr's had some soul the new one has nothing of that sort

Mattk 06-07-2008 03:02 PM

I must say I share your opinion, nthfinity. The Ford GT has good heritage and looks cool. The Nissan GTR is uninspiring and a bit pretentious. Now that it's not as good a sports car, it seems a bit silly to choose it over the Ford.
