Here's another drool-worthy picture. I think it looks great just, very aggressive but it still retains that distinctive Aston Martin look. Too expensive though but aren't all Astons that way?

I actually see it being a justified price, if Aston build a strong-enough car.. It's an Aston, cmon on. :-)

Other carbon bodied/tubbed cars with as much engine cost a third of the price.

Its a nice looking car other then the fact it looks like a corvette.. BUT on that note. i would pay the price cause its aston.. its a class.. its .... porn.. its a car design pinnacle!! for me.

^But you can't tell how it looks. I see this as the start of the downfall of Aston Martin design... unless they can buy back Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker.

even if it was priced at 300,000 pounds i still think it would be a stretch, but a whole million? i'm finding it really hard to swallow... it is sexy though :mrgreen:

The price tag would (slightly) make sense if each body and interior was custom designed.

Cool car, but Aston needs to branch out a little more with their designs. That's a hefty premium for a car that still has a Vanquish/DB9-esque profile.

You can buy the GT2 + GT3 + Ferrari 430 S. + Gallardo LP-560 for that money. But of course, you prolly have all those in the garage when u want to buy that.

Like the Veyron, I will get a house, a boat, a Toyota Tundra to tow the boat and a Ruf RT12

Yeah, I'd get me a nice house with a nice karting track, and some very nice karts
That being said, whomever gets that Aston, has/could have all of those things in addition to the nice car :D

And I don't think Mercedes makes 7.3L... Maybe it is a one-off Mercedes/Aston collaboration... hopefully just one.

I'm not sure what your point is. It's a British motor used in British cars (as well as some American cars), I find it perfectly normal the AJ-V8 is used in Land Rovers, Jags and Astons, all British cars. And by no means am I putting down the Merc 7.3 if that's what they are going to use, but in that price bracket you should at least have a motor that is made in-house.

And Aston and Mercedes supposedly are going to be sharing several parts and platforms, but this is according to Car magazing and they can't always be trusted...but here's the list from them...

Well. Since you brought it up, the Aston Martin V12 is based on the Ford Duratec design, which was actually engineered by Porsche. All I'm saying is that nothing is sacred.

But we don't even know if it does have a Mercedes unit. Maybe it's a coincidence? (I'm being naive.)

Aston needs to step away from this design language. I admit it is nice looking (except for those scoops next to the headlights), but it has the same lines and silhouette as the rest of the line. For that money, I would expect something really over-the-top that really moves the game on in terms of performance. I think that if you are looking for a beautiful, stonking-fast Aston, the V12 Vantage is going to be the car to have once it hits production.

That's ugly. It looks like a sloppy amateur design student work, or a random photoshop. They might as well have outsourced design to Zagato again. I loved how the DB7Z looked.

I wouldn't buy it, it is nice looking but for that money like others have said, it is a tough cookie, I will have an Ascari A10, a fisker for daily drives and a nice house in the hamptons and still have money to throw into armani suits

IMO I thought Astons looked that way because of the marque's heritage, its called lineage! And why would they want to move away from it??? They make/have made some of the most beautiful cars in the world.....saying that though, i wouldn't spend that kind of money on this, it doesn't move the game on in a way say the Veyron and in some respects the Reventon did, so as to attract that kind of money, more of a poster car (if there is such a thing any more!!!)
