Very Nice Ferrari Modena 360 (body kit)

The car is already a work of art, but I think this kit works pretty well :)

WOW

Except for those rims, and that "little" opening in the front spoiler :?

astonmartinandy 03-21-2004 04:52 PM

Looks good, but personally I wouldn't modify the car! Are those the RAYS lightweight wheels?? :?

No.1 03-21-2004 04:53 PM

I think any messing with a Ferrari should be punished by the

No really... the car is perfect straight from the factory. Why would you do this to a Ferrari? I can understand doing it to a Honda Civic but not a £110k car

The body kit of this 360 costs as much as a Civic

:D Your probably right :D

Does anybody know who made this kit? I know Hamaan made one, that also looked "messy".

akumapc 03-21-2004 05:01 PM

body kit was made by vertice design in Japan.

DMbaseball1604 03-21-2004 05:07 PM

yeah I'm not so sure you would put a body kit on a Ferrari, I can see one on a supra or something but not something like a Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo

I totally agree... people who do stuff like this to their Ferraris have no respect for their machines :(

adlinyusman 03-21-2004 06:23 PM

the front spoiler almost looks like the FIA GT 360, but the best tuned up 360 has to go to Novitec. It's a carbon (pardon the pun) copy of the FIA car...it went on the cover of Forza for god's sakes!
Normally i would scoff at the idea of a tuned up ferrari, but Novitec did a good job, a couple of my friends are trying to get their items, and these ppl don't normally tune their ferraris either!

DeMoN 03-21-2004 06:54 PM

If you buy a Ferrari, it should be because it is perfect. Adding those stupid body kits is messing with perfection. Something dumb to do, but oh well, even rich people can be ricers.

SFDMALEX 03-21-2004 06:57 PM

You should see the 360 with a body kit that I posted long ago. That was the only body kit I would allow on the 360.....*tries to rember were he posted that picture*

hemi_fan 03-21-2004 07:45 PM

I like those kits a lot! they make the 360 look a lot faster IMO, and they are kinda subtle so I like em.

enfermin 03-21-2004 07:59 PM

personally i don´t like this kit for a common 360.
its perfect from the factory, but if u have a ferrari to drive only on a race track, i think that its good to change some parts of it........
but for the street.....leave it original

Those are almost word for word what I was going to say. I have
always felt very strongly about modifying Ferrari's and these guys
pretty much said it "Don't mess with perfection :| ". Although with
that said I will say that this is the best kit for a Modena that I have
ever seen, it's just that, like a girl,a Ferrari looks better in its birthday
suit.

adlinyusman 03-22-2004 12:17 AM

yeah those novitec photos have been posted b4 mate. :P

WhiteP 03-22-2004 01:22 AM

The Japanese one is kinda nice.. except the ridiculous rear wing, and rear tailight panel... and the Hanman is just  U-G-L-Y.... I will be surprised if someone actually put their kit on their F360...

anyways, tuning a Ferrari required high consideration... probably factory tuned... and a nice set of very light weight wheels.. :D

ninopan 03-22-2004 05:45 AM

I think even the novitec body kit is way too much, especially with the rear wing. but there s something i don t undertand thoug: pininfarina made a great job under the car to ease the air flow so that a rear wing is not necessary, so why do tuners waste that job with a front spoiler and a rear wing like hamman or novitec?
on the other hand i have to say that the enzo-like rims of these 360 are beautiful :P

HeilSvenska 03-22-2004 11:38 AM

argh...this is not good...too much...
The front. back and the wheels look horrible... and no badge of somekind?!!!

I say this is a waste of another ferrari, BUT I absolutely love the Hamann 360 and every bit of it!!!

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/enzo-ferrari...60hamann-1.jpg

http://www.ruotequipe.com/catalogo/h...igh/360_01.jpg

see? It looks the bollocks

And yes, I also forgot to mention, it's not just the bodykit.

akumapc 03-22-2004 11:49 AM

reason the aftermarket adds the wings is simply because there is not enough downforce if you were looking to do some serious track racing. The underbody work is fine for everyday driving but if your looking to put some speed in the corners you'll need a lot more downforce to make the best use of that suspension and engine.

bmagni 03-22-2004 12:15 PM

dont like the mods on any car, and this is a ferrari, no use to do it, and it doesnt look nice aaand the rims are ugly

Silvia_Drift 03-22-2004 03:16 PM

I love how this 360 looks. I don't like how most modified Ferraris look but this one looks clean. I love the Volk TE37s on the car too. They are lightwieght, strong and good looking.

Tomerville 03-22-2004 03:21 PM

Hamann makes some nice stuff...im affraid this isn't some of it though in my opinion. The rims are tight, and the spoiler is alright, but that rear grill isn't cutting it. :?

why would anyone make it look rice to when pinninfarina took time to make such perfection???

Yeah, I like the rims, but I don't like the "little" opening in the front either. And why change the rear taillight area. . . it looks find. . . but they had to add some design to it. . . looks too rice.

callen 03-23-2004 01:20 AM

i like the kits. gives the car some added character, and keeps things fesh and new. the 360 has been around for 5 yrs or so now, and its nice to see a little variation. these kits IMO are notin like ricing hondas and shit. i think if we saw one in motion on the street, some ppl might change thier tune!

RC45 03-23-2004 05:19 AM

I agree - the 360 needs some agression - look at the subtle changes on the 360 CS - they are beginning to say "Look at my speed..."

Face it, the 360 may be sex on wheels, but it looks too much like a chicks car.. ;)

These kits give the car some balls.

Now do you see why some of us like the 355 more? It comes from the factory with a nice agressive looking package... ;)

StanAE86 03-23-2004 01:55 PM

Kind of funny that even after buying a Modena, someone felt the need to slap a kit on it. Kit is subtle enough, but I don't care for the wheels...

faulkner153 03-23-2004 07:56 PM

Putting a body kit on a Ferrari, unless you plan to track it, is basically the same as saying that the car isn't good enough for you. Not pretty enough, although its impossible to improve on the looks of any Ferrari in my opinion. But if youre rich enough to have one, go ahead, do what you want to it, its your car. Im just saying its not something I would do...

kompak 03-23-2004 09:32 PM

ferrari is a finesse with their design......and i don't think this car need another replacement to their original bodykit......even though the vertice design bodykit looks nice but ferrari have their own reputation and that reputation came from the unique engines and design.......correct me if i'm wrong

RC45 03-24-2004 07:29 AM

So y'all are saying you would turn these cars down... ;)

KazeSupra 03-24-2004 08:56 AM

The Imola Racing 360 GT is the best one. It's a street version of the racing body. And coupled with Koenig's 600hp twin turbo kit, would be awesome. Shit, even the convertible looks hot!!

Why? This is anti-rice... they are not all show no go.. quite the opposite, they have the balls to backup the looks...

Surely a twin-turbo F50 should look like that... ;)

callen 03-25-2004 12:03 AM

i agree fully, rc45. i love high end tuners. makes ur rossa corsa 360 coupe just that little more special when its tuned by koenig, imola etc.

FerrariFerrari 03-25-2004 01:10 AM

I do agree with RC45. When I made my prior post I was talking
mostly about rice Ferraris, and they do exist, I have nothing wrong
with Koenig or Hamman. In fact the F48 looks almost as badass
as the F40, and that is really saying something. And Koenig
has managed an incredible feet with the Testarossa by making it
extreamly agressive while not doing any harm to its sex appeal,
that's not easy at all.

possessed_beaver 03-25-2004 02:02 AM

ok, some of thoes examples are very veyr ugly, some are ok, and some are pretty good.

but with a 200k+ supercar, i believe in reguards to the styling "if it's not broken, don't fix it"

but some of the examples look alright...

1,000hp powerplant does hurt either... ;)

novass 03-25-2004 03:48 AM

I agree with KazeSupra, the Imola kit looks fantastic. I dont think these are riced up Ferraris. Unlike your average Civic with a wing, these cars may actually benefit or need the aerodynamic additions.

I just posted an article from Forza featuring the Imola Racing 360 and 355. Check it out here.
http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8506

RC45 03-25-2004 03:55 AM

Interesting how we have come full cirlce. In the mid 1980's and early 1990's Ferrari barred Koenig from putting the prancing horse badge back on the cars he created, as they really had a problem with his extreme mods...

Now they seem to be embracing the high end tuners.

Amazing what the money from increased sales will do... ;)

noosee 03-25-2004 04:50 AM

I think 360 looks great in standart. And all modifications should be aimed at making this car faster. Wheels, suspension & exhaust are the only things that can be modified :)

I actually read that article not too long ago. I love the Imola because it is EXACTLY like the race cars of that N-GT class, with the Michelotto cars of the same class varying only slightly from this design. The kit is proven on the track to provide better aerodynamics, so it is a functional kit. I need to find more pics of the convertable one
