Toyota 18,800rpm 950-970bhp
Ferrari 18,800rpm 930-950bhp

This is a list of computer-predicted maxumim rpm figures from Bahrain GP.
Done using computer-analysis of engine accoustics

Interesting numbers, thanks Toronto! :D

However, there's one thing that we have to take into acount: some of the engines listed above were brand new for that race, while others were the same ones that were previous used in Sepang, so the figures aren't exacly comparable. For instance, the BMW engine loses about 20hp in the second part of its life cicle...

One thing is for sure tough: the new rules failed in bringing the power down, which is only a good thing...

^^^ 3rd Race all the teams had a new engine
and in the case of BMW, Webber didn't finish the malaysian GP so he had a new engine for Bahrain

Duh, completely forgot about that...

Maybe the rev limits will be higher for the cooler tracks - i.e. Europe. Bahrain was the hottest circuit ever and I am sure they de-tuned the engines a bit ... 19000 rpms should possible elsewhere.

I thought the Sauber engine would redline the same as the Ferrari one but the difference is not that much.

^^^ no ferrari, toyota, and ford all give the good engine to their #1 team, and a de-tuned to their 2nd and 3rd teams
so last year, jag got the best ford engine, then jordan, then minardi

BAR is prob about 930BHP at best, that is my guess,
just working by the ratio of RPM to BHP for the other teams (RPMx0.05=BHP)

didnt last yr.. many team hit over the 1000hp mark???
