Initially, I thought it was fairly clear-cut, but a state judge has has ordered a federal institution to pay damages arising from a malicious prosecution action even though it was a state affair. Say what!??!?

Very odd.. Theres that seperation of government levels thing thats unique in the US again.

Still, one has to wonder how innocent these guys were running in that crowd.

well.... thats almost identical to an old episode of "Law and Order" I saw some time back.. funny i recall it.

It is an old tale that is often repeated of bait and switch... even happening right now in Dearborn, MI..

A small time 'charity' has been declared as aiding terrorism, or a terrorist group... while it is right that this group is shut down, the local FBI is not actively seeking to stop the groups that are sending upwards of 2M/year to similar organizations that are on the Terrorism aid list... for fear of causing the Dearborn Shea's who are in full support of Hammas (among others) openly to plan an attack locally on Detroit... all the while, there are also informants within Dearborn's Shea... and the FBI is protecting them, and their funds while information is being given... that is the expense of it.... some are being wrongfully imprisioned, while others are let free...
