in the 80's all sorts of patents were made for women to combat rape... needless to say, not really any of these entrapenuers struck it rich...

great idea. But waht if any girl uses it, goes to a party, and has sex with some guy. That guy will start to scream while the girl remembers that she was wearing the condom :?

also, imagine it was used in the USA. The rapist would sue the victim with "moral and irreparable physical damage to his manhood" :P And the rapist would win the demand

Yeah, exactly. I doubt this device will ever see widespread usage.

The first time a woman forgot to take it out, or got angry at her boyfriend there would be issues.

Actually seems like it's the woman's body - she should be able to do with it as she please... upto and including shoving razor blades up her jumper if she wants...

The next guy to come along and get sliced to shreds (whether husband, boyfriend, one night stand or stranger) is just tough luck.

I cannot even fathom why this needs to be discussed. :)

To recap:

It's her body to protect - any injury would require penetration by the man which means you are now "in her personal space" and just a temporary guest anyway. :)
