Asus NOS equiped motherboard

AI NOS™
Boost performance when you need it the most!
Applications such as 3D games and video editing demand a huge chunk of system resource.
Inject "nitrous oxide" into your CPU! The patented AI NOS™ (Non-delay Overclocking System) technology intelligently detects system load and automatically boosts performance for the most demanding tasks. Unlike other dynamic overclocking techniques, AI NOS™ reacts much faster to satisfy your unending need for speeds.

another sad marketing gimmick thats playing on a popular term in the hope of increased sales.. and it probably wont be used by any 'real' overclockers

mindgam3 08-25-2004 04:10 PM

yeah, just seems like another over marketed gimmick that people who think they are over clockers but really aren't will go for because they think its cool

SilviaEvo 08-25-2004 04:34 PM

NOS? market gimmik

5vz-fe 08-25-2004 05:11 PM

not kidding, I forgot to quote the price of the motherboard, it's 280CDN!!! insane!!

crazidude 08-25-2004 07:34 PM

WTF... MSI mobos already do that. So does it overclock your comp even more if its already overclocked?

dutchmasterflex 08-25-2004 08:32 PM

ha.. its great that they call it NOS...

remember those 'Turbo' buttons on old ibm clones?

PATo355 08-25-2004 08:36 PM

Bullshit , get an abit of DFI Nforce based board with a good fan and a XP mobile

5vz-fe 08-25-2004 08:51 PM

^ Yeah, DFI are great boards, and they come with those thin IDE cables too.

Called SATA150 :D And most brands carry that variable too

5vz-fe 08-25-2004 09:15 PM

Got one on my old 486. That button sure slowed down my PC 5-10x when pressed....
