JC is funny and he knows a lot about cars.

JC is the funniest, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When I go back and watch episodes before they got James May, I didn't think JC or Hammond were as funny.

i'm glad they replaced jason with james may...

He's funny, but he doesn't know squat about cars.

That's codswallop mate. Clarkson has a particularly non geeky style which is why everyone's girlfriend watched TG with them. He knows plenty about cars and is rated as being fairly handy behind the wheel by other journalists. Just avoids alienating his audence.

I think JM and RH cannot be compared, they are so different, yet both needed for the perfect show...

He does show his ignorance on certain cars. In his the good, the bad, and the ugly special where he rips on American cars, he mistook a base V6 Mustang for a Mustang GT. Another time, he asked a Corvette dealer if the C6 vette he was sitting in had a 5.7 litre . . . so no, he's not always up to date on things, especially if they're American. I love Clarkson and all but what self-respecting car enthusiast can use the word "torques" with a straight face. It's unit-less and has no meaning!!!! Use pound-feet! Use newton-meters! It's not a hard concept.

He's a prick, but thats why we love Jezza. He's the best, but you wouldnt have a show without James and Richard too
