lol that's hardly a shocking topic title  ofcourse it is :D
i dont really see why they didn't end up recommending the car though, it seems pretty reliable and safe to me...

The magazine called the Corvette Z06's predicted reliability "Poor," which prevented them from actually recommending the car in spite of high scores for performance and comfort.
uh.... pandering to advertisers?

I would choose certain porsches over a Z myself... but honestly, the blurb about reliability... that is BS... besides, it would take Turbo to really begin interesting me more then the Z.... and GT3... well, def. above the Z.

The new Corvette doesn't look that great, IMO. The ones from the 80s were great. I would have expected the 911 to be no. 1.

Consumer Reports does not accept advertising of any sort in order to maintain their independence. Interestingly, I have not heard of the Corvette having reliability problems. But then again, I don't know anyone that has one.

"If pushed behind its high handling limits, the Elise resists attempts to get it back under control."

What kind of a moron would put together a sentence like that?

I studied with a professor who has a C6 Vette, and he only mentioned two problems that he has had in his. One was a broken latch on the center console glove box or "cubby hold". The other was a burnt out headlight. I'm not positive how long he has owned the car but I would estimate 9 months max.
