It’s speculated that Lamborghini has spent lots of time following a Raptor attack plane at military bases to gain inspiration for this project, and will supposedly be releasing the car in only one colour – jet fighter grey, with a green military-like interior to match. Rumoured to be built on the LP platform, it shares its doors and mirrors with the Murcielago LP640 but is said to have a very different front end.

Power figures are anyone’s guess at this stage, but all that can be inferred at this point is that the powerplant will probably be a 12-cylinder more powerful than the LP640’s and it should be road legal in the US.

I hope first that this isn't a repost and that this is true because it sounds wicked!!! :twisted:

Anyways..If this info is actually true, I couldn´t be more excited to see what this monster will look like!

If true this is a great news, and about time for Lamborghini to do this.

However I'm having doubts about what it's actualy going to be, because of this...

Could it be just a hardcore version of the LP640 like the Gallardo superleggera?

This would be great, nothing officially confirmed naturally as usual.
If they would launch an LP640 Superleggera I doubt it would be limited to only 20 units, seeing that the Gallardo SL is receiving a lot more orders than they envisaged at the start.

A new super exotic from the Raging Bull would be a great idea, Veyron eat your heart out !

I have heard that this true. According to Lambo it is faster then the Veyron. Inmo, if it is a rebodied Murcielago at 1.5mill, its a joke. Inmo, it will be based on the Veyron, if it is truly faster than the Veyron.

I also think it's BS. A 1.000.000 € car based on a LP ?? No carbon chassis for this price ? :|

There have been rumors about the Murciélago successor having a full carbon fiber chassis to keep weight down for a few years already, but I can't imagine they will replace the LP640 so soon.

Perhaps a new, limited edition Super V12 could be possible ... still a few weeks until the press conference at the IAA, sure hope something 'leaks' out earlier. As I understand it, Lamborghini will remain with non-turbo engines however, but I'm pretty sure that power will rise above 700 Bhp soon.
