The key here is silence. Since infantry troops aren't equipped with silences pistols, these are silent ways of taking out guards. Plus it looks a lot cooler (except for the Belgian takedown). I also doubt the kneck snap would work. :?

I wonder how loud clubbing a sentry as hard as you could in the back of the head with the butt of your M16 would be? And I was kidding about the shooting thing, I understand about the need for silence
