sadly we don't get the falcon anymore since like the 70's when it was a big old drag racer like the Thunderbolt version and the Mercury version Cyclone.

I highly doubt htey will bring it back but if they did I would definitely consider one.

Ford XR6 Turbo - The best Aussie car ever I reckon :)

p.s

And this is coming from a person that used to a Holden/HSV man! :D

The BA Ford is a very good car, the turbo 6 is very quick with good handling. I used to have a HDT Aero Commodore but now drive a WRX. The Ford gets my respect...

Those should be American cop cars. I love the looks of them too.

I say get rid of Thunderbirds (Ford)/Taurii(Tauruses)/500 and get the Falcons. So pretty

T-Bird 06-29-2004 11:18 PM

well the Ford Thunderbird, Taurus, and upcoming 500 are all very different cars they wouldn't replace them all with a single car that would be as dumb as chevy changing the Impala to FWD and V6. The new Thunderbird although not that great is actually selling decent enough for what it is (a future collector car) it's a 2 seater V8 roadster, The Taurus is a good midsized sedan with many options for different needs it's huge as a Company car. the new 500 is probably going to be placed below the Crown Victoria, it might be a good car once people get a hold of it. but I doubt it will. The Falcon would go right inbetween the Taurus and The Crown Victoria if they did bring it here but I would highly doubt they have any plans to do so. So the Falcon could replace the 500 but since the 500 is all new I doubt they would write that one off so soon so I wouldn't get my hopes up too soon.

HeilSvenska 06-29-2004 11:22 PM

Well I know that Ford won't.

but i'd say if Ford did, Falcon surely will make people forget about Taurus and ... may be the new Thunderbird.

It's simple we need this RWD car here in America.

Damn, I hate domestic fwd cars.

fabro_s 06-30-2004 01:46 AM

Sadly we dont get that Ford in America it would be great to see a Falcon versus a Corvette, or a Camaro SS or even the new Pontiac GTO

stracing 06-30-2004 02:06 AM

how bout a falcon and commodore? thats as close you would get with falcon vs corvette. there are corvettes here but hardly see them together.

dingo 06-30-2004 02:27 AM

Well the Falcon vs the GTO is as close as you'd get...since the GTO is based on the Monaro.

ahmedgiyab 06-30-2004 06:10 PM

I don't think that it will ever happen....they didn't do it with the Holdens.... :?

stracing 06-30-2004 06:30 PM

GM brought the monaro over to the US. its called the Pontiac GTO now.
