TTs

Hey I have been on this site for a short time, so i my be missing something. But what is it will people calling the TT a supercar? Or a car that is at the top of the car "food chain"? I don't get it. I am not trying to start anything or what not. But DAMN!!! That car is not that good. AWD, V-6, 5-spd. Wow there are a lot more cars that will show that up with less power, less wheels driven, and less cost. So what gives? :?

DanielW 10-20-2004 01:35 AM

hmmm, i've never heard of it being refered to as a supercar.

maybe they are talking about the 911 TT?????

DUNKiNUTS 10-20-2004 01:47 AM

no no no, there are people on this forum that hype up the TT and i was wonding why?

DanielW 10-20-2004 01:49 AM

the audi or the porsche?

DUNKiNUTS 10-20-2004 01:52 AM

Audi TT

dingo 10-20-2004 01:52 AM

^ he is obviously referring to the Audi, as he said.
However I haven't heard anyone call it a supercar, although there are fans/owners of it in here (everso, i think) that obviously like it. :)

Hyped up supercar, less put it that way. I am just wondering way people love this car so much? I guess its not over just my head. :|

Twin-engined MTM TT Bimoto is super enough. Twin-turbo 3.6 litre V-8 split in two (not really, 2 turbo 4-cylinder, 1.8 litres each), 740hp, 0-60 in 3.4sec, 220+mph

but no, no one refers Audi TT to a supercar, although TT is a super person.

and no, people do not like TT that much. I, for example, like TT as a super modern art piece.

I think you are insane...especially given that you are from the East Coast...

kidding.

Pokiou 10-20-2004 02:16 AM

its a TT.. its crap.. quality is less then a convertiable 350z or a honda s2000.. and ive driven all 3 .. and .... the s2000 wins hands down. Calling the AUDI a super sports car is like calling shit more valuble then gold.. no offence to TT owners but.. serious, there not all that made upto be.. ive had a few race's with a tt on teh freeway.. in my 180sx and i simply leave them in smoke ...its a shame cause ther worth so much and get beatn by a car thats half the price...

adamk24 10-20-2004 02:27 AM

The TT is a great car for your sister.... or your girlfreind... or your wife.... its just not a great drivers car...

T-Bird 10-20-2004 02:56 AM

After driving a TT and working on one I have to say it is a great car the quality is excellent and the ride is nice. it may be a super car but not a Supercar and I've never heard it refered to as one. The V6 comes with the DSG standard not the 5 speed that's only in the lowest model with the low hp 1.8T

Dude, can you please give a link instead of just saying "everybody hype the TT"? I never read such a post on JW and I am very curious now.

Just_me 10-20-2004 04:02 AM

Audi TT - very popular among female hairdressers. Thats what I heard.
