A very interesting Mercedes Feature

Mercedes-Benz will unveil the high-performance 2005 S65 AMG, featuring a 604-hp, 6.0-liter V-12, for the first time in North America. To show how AMG engines are made, Mercedes technicians will build a 6.0-liter V-12 by hand during each of the two media days. The specialists assembling the V-12s will be from the Affalterbach, Germany, plant where the engines are produced. It will take about seven hours to construct each engine.

This sounds really nice. Hopefully someone can get pictures and show us the work in progress of that beast of a engine.

are you going to the media days?

I'm not quite sure yet I have to go and check my schedule tonight and see when I can go. I planned on a weekday though but a weekend might be a reality.

Now THAT'S the engine that should be in the Maybach.
