Land Rovers everywhere!
Has anyone else in the USA noticed an explosion in the number of Land Rovers around? It used to be it was fairly uncommon to see them here. But just in the last year or so I swear they are EVERYWHERE!! The strange thing is its not just new Land Rovers I see but many that are 4 and 5+ years old. I have 4 neighbors that all have gotten a Land Rover in the past year and ony 1 of them is new. What happened? Where did they all come from?

Which land rover are you talking about..
Defender. Discovery ?? Which one ?? |
Umm they've been around for a long time I see them everywhere there were atleast 5 of them at my Highschool so here in Chicago they are very common and have been.

Well - it would seem you answered your own question.
If these are 3, 4 or 5 year leases ending then many of those who couldn't afford a new one are simply getting in when they can afford it. But as has been pointed out, Landies of all types have been around for ages - you just began noticing them is all :P |

I am guessing you are not a student of the obvious... :P |
rather see them than stupid Hummers!

But there are always cars that are coming off 2, 3 and 4 year leases. That does not explain why there would be an increase just in the last year. Unless Land Rovers were definitely not as common before around 2000. Then it would make since.
