Qualifying:

Kimi difts as Montoya crashes....same spot.

Is Michael on different compund than Rubens?? Can't have such a big difference in laptime.

|Nuno| 07-23-2005 08:12 AM

Rubens has been stuggling all Weekend - only 1.3 seconds faster than Albers... :? I sure hope he's on a different strategy...

Missed bloody quali, but heard bout monty's spin Normally he spins when theres no pressure!.

5vz-fe 07-23-2005 01:26 PM

It's so funny how Montoya was trying to defend his crash.

"Why would I want to get second if I could be first? I think I am here to win races and championships. I made a mistake trying but that is what we are here for," said Montoya. "If you are looking for someone who is happy to finish second then find another driver because I am here to win. I think McLaren hired me because they want me to win. I just lost it. My car was a bit nervous going into the corners like Kimi's was, but the last sector was a bit understeery, so I came off the throttle and the rear just came around."

That is complete BS if u ask me, as a F1 driver, he should know better about the limits and make sure he doesn't go over it on such an important lap. Also learn from other ppl's mistake and make sure it didn't happen to u.

Montoya did one fatal misstake at the last corner... I would pretty mad if i'd screwed that one up! I feel sorry for him

raikonen for the win, with alonso up his gearbox.

sameerrao 07-24-2005 03:23 AM

The oversteering McLarens were beautiful to watch -Kimi was on full lock and still didnt lost much time. Monty lost out pretty bad but the slides were great to see ...

Yeah.... I think it was a problem with the setup or the nature of the Mclarens. Gotta love the way Kimi caught that slide. He's a master. just like Hakkinen. No one can catch a slide like him.

I got worried seeing blue smoke out of JPM's car on Turn 1 and at the Hairpin. Then though he was turning in too quickly into the last corner. A shame really. Would have love to see a McLaren 1-2 and have Alonso start from the dirty side.

But anyway..... I say Kimi's going to win by more than 20 secs ahead of alonso.

5vz-fe 07-24-2005 05:57 AM

^provided his engine didn't go poop

Bridgestone BLOWS!!!!!!

SFDMALEX 07-24-2005 09:48 AM

/\/\/\Fuck Bridgestone!!!

And dammit, I was going for Kimi and that dick Alonso wins....Mercedes assholes cant even give him a proper car.

davide 07-24-2005 09:54 AM

Mercedes send signals to all customer that; "we can't build cars".

I don't care about the others, but ONE car?! Can't they build one GOOD car for Kimi... I feel so sorry for him.

jenkF1 07-24-2005 12:15 PM

Mercedes have cost McLaren the championship, simple as that. In my opinion Kimi has been the best driver this year in the best car and the titles been taken away by bloody Mercedes piss-poor reliability we've all come to use too.

It was handed on a plate to Fernando today.
