On another forum I was told it is a Ferrari 250GT Tom Meade Special :!:

Well it's definitely a 250...most likely a california. A lot of these had custom coachwork done so...here's something i found about Tom Meade

Quote:

A pair of 250 GT SWB's were later re-bodied, the first of which was completed in 1966 by Neri & Bonacini who had been commissioned by Californian Tom Meade. Meade was also having a 250 LM converted for street use and a couple of hot rod Berlinetta’s built on 250 GT PF Coupe’s and got a stunningly beautiful Spyder on 3771 GT.

Seven PF Cabriolet's were re-bodied with covered headlights during the mid sixties, these cars prepared in Italy at the behest of Tom Meade, an American who had already ordered a number of one-off Ferrari's. Little is currently known about them, only one, chassis 2393 GT, having surfaced lately. With its covered headlights, Kamm tail and cockpit modifications, this car was clearly influenced by Pininfarina's five 330 GTC Speciale's from 1967. Finally, the chassis numbers of all these variants are indexed below along with their body configurations.

The guys at that other forum were right.
