No Dino in the works

Creating downmarket cars is all the rage these days for exotic carmakers, but Ferrari says has no plans to jump on that bandwagon. Recent rumors suggested the company might build a new "Dino" coupe as a part of the so-called "Project California," however that no longer looks likely. According to Amedo Felisa, the company's Deputy Managing Director, the idea was recently considered, but the Italian automaker decided against it. The AutoTelegraaf magazine says the $175,000 Ferrari F430 will remain the company's base model for the foreseeable future.

Thats a good idea in my opinon, Ferrari don't need to make another car just to make it cheaper for people to buy.

I want Ferrari to make Dino but not because of f430 is expensive. Because base model of Ferrari has 490 hp and 0-100 is 4.0 second and has 310-315km/s max speed. And they have no rival car to 911, 'vette and Am V8.

Keep it pure.. a lower price car is one more step towards a porsche suv we dont need to approach.

A 120,000€ V6 mid-engine sportcar was a good idea... but I guess that as long as the sales of the F430 base model keep increasing... the chances of a smaller less-powerful car are unlikely to happen :bah:

I mean f430 is in deffernat classes with 911and V8. Dıno would be rival for them.

Uhm, in 2005 Ferrari has sold more than 5000 cars, that is the maximum for his plant.

For this reason is not possible produce the Dino now....

Furthermore, this is the "Alfa 8C Competizione zone" :D
(I hope)
