IRL driver died today

It seems he wasn't paying attention to his spotter, RIP Paul Dana, he is Danica Patricks team mate as well. The video shows how it happened.

just read that, luckily he didnt hit directly the other driver, other wise we would be looking something like zanardi or a double death... i guess they should evaluate this kind of accidents to prevent them...

Was there a yellow that came out? It seemed like the other cars slowed, but the guy who hit dana didn't.
What a tragedy. R.I.P.

The yellow was out for 6 seconds, and Dana is the one who hit the crashed car.

Strange incident, why didn't he slow down like all the others?

RIP. :(

Saw this on the news today. Sickening impact. Very sad, probably hard to avoid, given the circumstances.

Haven't you seen the video? It didn't seems like he had time to even think about it...

Well supposdly the spotter had already warned him, and once a spotter warns you of an accident ahead you should be on the brakes right away, not going a 176 mph.
