The i MiEV electric motor is mounted in the standard engine's rear-midship location and generates 47kW (63 hp) peak power. The car has an operating range of approximately 80 to 100 miles with a top speed of 80 mph and is actually much torquier than its conventionally-powered counterpart, generating 130 lb-ft to the standard i's 69.

It doesn't travel very far, does it? I prefer conventional cars, thank you very much. I've never really understood the concept of electric cars.

Why the hell are they always doing electric cars so fucking ugly?!?!
That's actually a really good point. I guess they think that such designs are aerodynamically efficient or something. It seems silly, but I'm sure there's a rational explanation.

Its slow, who cares.

Well there are certain areas where speed is not necessary. Few, but there are applications for this type/class of vehicle.
