Alfa Romeo Giulietta Turbodelta
Aaahh.. its been a while since I made a topic in the classic section about a classic Alfa Romeo so here we go, I proudly present you one of my favorite Alfa's of all times and one of the brutalest Italian cars ever made the Giulietta Turbodelta.
This turbocharged lady was created in 1983 as a tribute to the race division of Alfa Romeo the AutoDelta. It was a limited run of 361 cars and it featured the classic 4cyl. 2liter Alfa engine with the t/c that came from the 75 Turbo, only it had an increased bhp and it produced 170bhp. Given the fact that the car weighted approx. 1.1 tons it could reach a top speed of approx. 210km/h. This car was meant to replace the GTV6 in the touring car championship but eventually the 75 was chosen. Its price nowadays is estimated at around 60k euros for a concours model. Most of them were sold in Italy with some being sold in Greece, Germany and Japan. http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/s...1774/hjvd1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/speedway/1774/s1.jpg http://alfisti.net/modellhistorie/me...gedb/232_0.jpg http://alfisti.net/modellhistorie/me...gedb/232_1.jpg http://alfisti.net/modellhistorie/me...gedb/232_3.jpg http://alfisti.net/modellhistorie/me...gedb/232_4.jpg http://alfisti.net/modellhistorie/me...gedb/232_5.jpg |
Don't like the 80's styling, but that looks like a very fun car

Actually this particular version of the Giulietta, despite the fact that the turbocharger had a tendency to blow up quite easily, it wasn't in general a very problematic Alfa. |
Very interesting car!
Never ever noticed its unique styling, performance is quite allright! |
