Koenigsegg CCGT Road Test
The sound!
Hope its not a repost. |
Cool racecar it's it supercharged just like the production car??
Love the engine sound. :D 8) |
Nice sound... but the gear changes doesn't seem very fast for a race car
|
Nice car and nice footage! :D
I usually don't like music in car vids, but I think this actually suits it quite well. |

I can't wait to see that car kicking ass in the races. |
Yes, it's running a 5.0 liter N/A version of the engine - but it's quite an engine!
The doors had to go in order to save weight. the car is grossly underweight, so they have plenty of room to finetune the weight distribution and roll centre with ballast. I hope this will probe easier to handle than the street version, and perhaps more reliable too - just might have a good base for a proper racecar here if it gets a proper development programme. |
if it is enter in any type of compeition i don't think it will do well
just look at the car, it looks just like the road car except, longer front spliter, big wing, and diffiuser,, |
The car is legal according to the same FIA GT rules as the rest of the field. There was a lot of speculation as to which class they are entering, as there are meny manufacturers entering the GT3 class with cars like 997 GT3, F430, Zonda, C6R, Viper, Aston Martin and such. Looks to be a great class :)
If the CCGT is legal in this class (for instance, Radicals, Moslers and Ultimas are not) then it's surely one of the most promising platforms! |
So when are they gonna catch up to the US/British Ultima? People are building cars in their garage faster than this.
|
Ahh.. the joys of being a test driver.
Car looks great, any idea how much power the 5.0 is pushing? Hope this car will be able to win a couple races and improve the street car's reliability. |
Thanks for the vid

CCGT in GT1 is goung to be tough. I think they are going to face teams from a completely different level - good basic car or not... |
