Do you really think it is easy just to jump in a car and pull off 10 seconds blasts on your first outing? Especially in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity? With more practice it is easily a 10 second car at 135mph trap speeds. And thats on pump gas. The car has a program for race gas which allows it to crank the boost more. Also, the car gets hurt in the 1/4 mile because they have to shift into 5th approx 50ft before the timing lights.
