Though the images show what is essentially a taped-up 599 GTB, our spies reported a distinct lack of engine sound. While the 599 GTB is powered by a roaring V12 unit, Dino is likely to receive a 298-kW V8 powerplant. Pininfarina will probably be in charge of the styling with input by Frank Stephenson, the former Ferrari design head now in charge of Fiat's Centro Stile. A coupe is expected first, with a Spider following later. It is rumoured that the new Dino will be built at the Maserati factory in Modena. The latest Dino incarnation - the classic Dino, was built between 1968 and 1976 to honour Enzo Ferrari's son Alfredino - is expected to debut in 2009. Pictures - These are not representitive of the model itself - it's just a mule apparently... http://www.wheels24.co.za/Wheels24/G...1,4547,00.html (Article sourced from www.wheels24.co.za) |
Test mule? Maybe for a suped up 599 lol. Maybe its me but I see no differences. Anyway I can imagine a new dino with modern styling cues. It could be drop dead gorgeous like the Muira concept
