599 GTB vs F40

This video is already old. It was released when the 599 was launched. This is the clearest video I've seen of it.

Nice to look at but obviously f40 would smash 599

Not so sure about that, didn't the 599 GTB come with in a few seconds of the Enzo's time around Fiorano?

Tire technology + e diff's + launch control etc.

F40 is far more visceral, and tunes to the driver's every sense. I like the 599 a lot... but it is detatched from a drivers' perspective.

Modern tires make a huge difference. If I had to guess on equal tires the edge goes back to the f40.

Not to mention they will still be talking about the F40 in hushed reverence a long after people forget what a 599 was ;)

As it is, the 550/575 have already been forgotten by the "newest must be best" crowd.

I am waiting for someone to retrofit the 599 motor into a 550... that would be damn near perfect.

I want to do that to a 456 myself if/when I get money. Preferrably with a new interior. ;-)

The 599 would beat the F40, but the F40 would provide the better experience. At least, that's what I think.
