Well, I'm about to replace the heater core in my fox body. It was bypassed long ago whenever the core gave up the ghost. It shouldn't be too hard of a job, but the entire dash needs to come out in order to get to the heater core. Furthermore, getting the dash out means dropping the steering column. My car doesn't have an airbag, so that's one less worry at least.
The fox body heater core replacement is no top contender for the ridiculous repair list, but it'll be kind of a pain. It's not fun like upgrading or modifying one's car either. Then again, it'll be nice to have a working heater and air conditioner again.
