I found 2 rc 45s few months ago... one was 9 and the other was 12, both in good condition... you just got to keep your eyes open. ill most likely get parts and build one  |
Priced at $9000 and $12000 or chassis number 9 and 12? They may have been only bid to $9000 and $12000 - but they wouldn't have sold for that. AT that price it is simply not worth selling.
Building one will not be possible. There are simply not enough spares left.
I managed the RC45 registry for a while - remember only 55 chassis came to North America - including all the ones raced.
We only ever accoutned for about 30 of them, and mine #20 and 6 others were the only ones being riden. I had mine from 800 miles till I sold it with 8000 miles - put the miles on in 3 years - easily the highest mileage in the shortest time.
The bike was just to good to not ride. So after I stopped riding it regularly, I sold it into a collection of 4 RC45's and 3 RC30's in California.
It sees regular road use.
