Actually that's the point - it's a
game console - at $900 for a retail bundle it is stupidly over priced.
$800 is a $50,000 car payment - its a $100,000 house mortagage payment - it's a complete A/C replacment and transmission service on a used car - etc etc etc
All these 7-hour camp outs are just the credit card generation suckers.
Microshaft is hoping to ship a million $400 units in the first quarter or something stupid...
Pulease... XM satellite radio (which is WAY more useful than an XBox360) didn't grow at that pace.
I am almost sure people felt obligated to "me too - lemme have one" and that's why they lined up for hours to buy one.
The joke is on them when the system gets discounted, goes on sale and used refurbs show up for half the price.
There is silly impulse buying - then there is stupidity... $400 on an XBox 360 is borderline stupidity...
