I was just sticking with what I know
ops: Dean was/is an AMD man but I decided to plump for Intel. I appreciate that AMD are better on several points, such as power consumption, raw speed and I suppose overclocking potentail. However, I doubt that I would notice the difference.
My aim for the PC was to build a robust, stable and respectably fast PC which has the potential to be upgraded as and when. At this point, I doubt that I will be going down any overclocking routes. Therefore I wanted a PC that would run the latest games fairly well out of the box so to speak.
I also wanted to build a PC that was capable of running the next generaltion of games - albeit, potentially, with some upgrades.
I think the spec of the computer meets my requirements. You never know, next time I may go down the AMD route. 8)
p.s according to online tracking, my final delivery has made it to my local depot and is on route to my house
I will as always, get pics up when I get home.
