Right EVERY MAJOR Manufacturer  . Oh yeah, and if you consider 51% of Film Studios, then I guess you are right.

Studios (movie and game) listed as supporting members

Blu-Ray
20th Century Fox
Buena Vista Home Entertainment
Electronic Arts
MGM Studios
Paramount Pictures
Sony Pictures Entertainment
The Walt Disney Company
Vivendi Universal Games
Warner Bros.

HD DVD
Buena Vista Home Entertainment
New Line Cinema
Paramount Pictures
The Walt Disney Company
Universal Studios
Warner Bros.

You can see the complete electronics list there too, and it doesn't look like HD-DVD is on its "death bed yet" as you stated:

I do not believe that the PS3 success will determine who will be the winner in this. If you think about it, how many propietary plateforms on gaming was there before? Did it really matter?

Yes the PS1 was CD, PS2 was DVD, but in the end did it really matter to the winner of those plateforms? Well, I guess the CD and DVD didn't have much competition either. (Well Super Disc & Multimedia CD combined to make DVD.)

The PS3's success will depend on its games. Not that because it is a Blu-Ray player. And I have no doubt the PS3 will be successful, but does that mean HD-DVD won't be around?

In the end, it will all come down to price. How much the disc cost, how much does the movie cost, and how much do the players cost? Right now it looks about even with the exception that HD-DVD players are a bit cheaper.

Blu-ray's consumer electronics list is longer, with Sony, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Pioneer and LG Electronics. PC makers that support it are Dell, HP and Apple Computer. Also on board are video game maker Electronic Arts and entertainment companies Twentieth Century Fox, Vivendi Universal and Walt Disney.
