Thanks for the write-up. Very impressive performance. I am sure the US car will be a bit slower as it is heavier(normally the US cars are heavier due to more extensive equipment, emissions, safety features) and without launch control (like the F430). I am assuming the 60 tread life tire was the PZero Corsa. I guess the US car will do a 0-60 in 3.5/3.6secs and 1/4 mile in 11.5secs on more normal tires.
To me, a Carrera GT would be more visceral but a 599 would be more practical/amenable to everyday driving/parking/etc.
Good luck finding one under $325-350K
