what i actually did was hand sprayed the ever part seperatly with 2 or 3 colors then did a mothion blur to smothen it up and a lil gaussian blur to give it a 3d effect 
i tried to do it the way you do .. but i just cant figure out where to put what color

Oh I see, I like the effect that you can create with Paint Shop Pro. Are you going to keep on tooning?
