M5 is not far behind, so I could imagine a M6 being faster than a Gallardo, but the BMW will need a better driver They seem about equal in terms of straightline speed, with a small edge for the Lambo.

Anyway, who cares? Different cars giving different sensations for different prices.
I don't know how motor insurance works on your planet, but here removing something that allows your car to do 200 mph instead of 155 mph makes it invalid or at least would double the premium. A cup holder however I agree would make little difference to the description of a car being classed as un-modified.
