OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't aware!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I can't check the site completely, but I see the exibition is the 24th in Geneva! I'm not sure if I have exams or not, but who cares, I'll be there anyway LMAO!!!!!!

Edit - no wait, I don't understand.. on the pdf the exibition and the start is the 25th, while on the site they state Thursday 24! I need to find out.. when, where... I think I'll email the organizers! I can't miss that!

Still not sure about the starting day.. I got an email from the organisers and they gave me the place where the exibition and start will be held, but still not confirmed if it's the 24 or 25th!
On geneva's official site I found the manifestation scheduled for the 24th... so I'm almost sure the 24 is the day.. and better go the 24 and discover it will be the next day than arriving the 25 to know the cars are gone

Let see some pics from 2002's edition in the meanwhile

LOL, I'm trying to find a way to rent a videocamera to shoot some action vids too

As for meeting us in Geneva, just consider my German is absolutely terrible, and my spoken english pretty bad too so we'll have to understand just looking at the facial movements

My dad is in that situation. He can write scientific studies in english, 10000 word long technical essays in english, but he doesnt speak that well. He speaks good, but not even close to as good as he can write

You know, writing is easier, first because you have not to actually pronounce the words and second, on a board I have time to stop, think a while and find the right words in my limited mental vocabulary, to express my thoughts the best possible way.. when you speak, you have to do it real time, and I always mess up between french, english and italian.. when an english speaking tourist asks me directions, he always has a good laugh granted IMO

I'm speaking to myself maybe (maybe because I'm the only one able to attend the event around here...).. but I'll keep posting anyway

I found a single place where you can rent a videocamera in my zone.. but it's in Geneva and this means it will be an hassle for me.. I'd have to go before the 24 to pay a deposit and reserve the camera.. then I'll have to go the 24th, pick it up, go to the place where the cars are.. film them, take pics all day long... then come back to Lausann, 60 km (40 miles) and go back to Geneva the day after to take the camera back... another 120 km...
And it will costs 90 CHF (40 GBP or 65 USD)...
So I guess I'll only take pics.. I hope they'll be enough

This is a fantastique post. This is an awesome rally, a little bit more civilised then the gumball. The line up is fabulous. I checked out the site. It has a nice video and some good pics, absolutely worth to check, a must see.

BTW, this kind of race is WAY harder than the Gumball were you just have to go flat out hoping not to be catched by police patrols

I already did similar "races", where you have to cover the distance from A to B in the exact time given.. usually you have many other points you can use, with times set, but it's bloody hard on open roads, to be precise, I can assure you
And obviously you can't speed and then stop 200 meters before the checkpoint, because marshalls will spot you
But I don't know exactly how this supercar rally is organised
