Default Ferrari 250 GTO in Paris

Not exactly from today, but here are a few pictures of a Ferrari 250 GTO 1962 (1963?) and a Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic 1937 (probably a replica) arriving to an auction house in the Champs-Elysées. These are from about a month ago. It was quite amazing to see the quintessencial Ferrari drop right in front of me!

The high res pictures can be found in:
http://minos.phy.tufts.edu/asousa/Paris-Ferrari
or by clicking in the medium sized pictures below.

There are also some low quality movies with the engine running in:

The Bugatti is a replica, but I don't really remember if the GTO is a real one; a friend of mine also took pictures of those cars in Paris and he said something about the GTO, I'll try to find it back

Edit : found; the Bugatti is a replica with a 3.8 Jaguar engine
The GTO is a "Favre" based on a 1964 330GT with a 4 liters engine with GTO spec

I was pretty sure that the Bugatti was a replica after seeing only six exhaust pipes when the type 57 engine was the traditional straight 8 with a lower displacement. I had my doubts about the 250 GTO. The big hood hump would indicate a 4 liter engine as in the two 330 GTOs, but the air intake in the car I saw was too small. I did not think it was a Favre replica because the detailing in this car, interior and exterior is exquisite. The 250 GTE based Favres I've seen look rougher, for instance:
http://www.historyofcars-f.com/items/2473615327.html
They can still get north of $200 000 in auctions! Little shy of $16.6 million of the real GTO, which is only 2nd in money to Fangio's Mercedes W196 at $24 million. Anyway, I was leaving Paris in 3 hours and had bought my Pentax Optio 2 weeks ago. I was very glad I did! It was really a lot of luck to see in the flesh and the metal (I concede probably a replica of) my favorite car since I saw a 1:18 BBurago model 20 years ago...
I don't think the driver is the owner. In fact he almost smashed the back of the car against the trailer you can see in the last pictures. If anyone knows how much these cars were auctioned for, I would be interested to learn more about it.
Well, replica or not, glad you enjoyed it!

Both cars look great.

The curves on the 250GTO are sooo cool.
Do you have any more pics?

High res. maybe?
