Default Resident Evil 4

Sorry danny, try not to read this topic and forget about it

Hey guys, I am sure I am not the only one playing it already. I was wondering what others think about the revolutionary (for RE at least) camera/movement/shooting system.

I just playind some 30 minutes and blasted through the village (entered the second half yesterday) and I had to kill already some ppl ().

Actually for sure it is nice to see such a radical change, RE mixed with "House of the dead" someway, but on the downside, it's not easy to get used to it.. after some aiming/walking/looking (yellow lever) I was sick like if I was on a small boat in the middle of the craziest storm! I had to stop for a while actually.. It was while trying to kill some stupids crows. When the target is on the ground it is better, but still...
And while on previous chapter it was always possible to find a good position with a good camera angle allowing you to see if somebody would come from behing, it is now totally impossible (more realistic for sure) and you have to plan carefully your movement.
And again about the aiming, I well, not easy with that laser beam pointing in a slight diagonal way

but well, I still think it is BRILLANT! To be able to shoot in the legs the enemies is funny not to talk about the head and all the usual stuff I also LOVE the new kick mode, the jumping across windows and so on!!

This game ROCKS seriously, but still I'd like to see other ppl's impressions about this new chapter!

I liked it I grabbed the game a few days before it came out and was thoroughly pleased by it. Used Girlfriends little brothers Gcube for it.

Damn Ive read reviews of this game that say its great... now you TT? lol i have a Gamecube which I am supposed to sell today. I need the money to fix my baby =/

I think selling it now, while this great game is out, will attract more bidders. Now you make me have second thoughts lol

I am a great fan of this game. I think I have played all of them (including survivor which was not good) except for code veronica.

Damn gis, that's not good news...I hate it when two different companies make the same game...remember what happened with NFS a while ago...

Anyways I'll be waiting eagerly to get my hands on it...it is about time that RE returns to PS2...not that crappy Outbreak shit.

Until then...I'm still pretty busy with Silent Hill 3 which I stopped playing because of San Andreas, and I just got Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater like three weeks ago, and I haven't even opened it yet...and to make things worse, my lil brother bought Prince of Persia Warrior Within last week...

So I'll be pretty busy until RE4 arrives to PS2...

AHHHH dont mention MGS 3 snake eater,im also dyin for that game, luckily TT hasnt made me cry with that game yet,lol

your right about resi evil outbreak, what a dissapointment,im a HUGE resident evil fan and that game really was bad.but returning to PS2......you know im not so sure thats a good thing IMO.i admit when they decided to go to gamecube i was liek "NOOOO dont do that" but when i played resident evil re-make i was gob smacked, totally fantastic and im actually playing it right now (on pause as i write this, lol) and then they released resident evil zero....my god, just fantastic,so them makin the "official" resident evil 4 for the cube is a good thing IMO and on the PS2 woudl be ruined.

Hehe, like many others, I actually bought the GC only when the Resi saga moved to that platform, and I never thought it was a bad move! I also think the GC controller is better to play a Resi-like game but well, let's wait for the PS2 version to come out before saying it is shit.. (and it will if another company will take care of it )

Well ebay decided to cansel my acution bcuz I was charging extra to those who paid with credit card (not direct fundstransfer) So I get to keep my CameCube for a while longer....

TT, I assume you have played most if not all RES EVIL games?

This one u are playing, is it better than Resident evil 2? I loved that game damn I loved it. Putting in 1 cd and then continuing the other... then starting the other way arround to play as another character... absolutelly mindblowing game. It was the first RE I played, after that I tried to buy all of them.

What is the fav game of u guys so far? (Residnet Evil games)

Yes, I've got all of them (not the Outbreak).

IMO this one is on a whole different level. I admit the lack of zombies someway changes the whole thing.. but the atmosphere in this one is totally sick, VERY well done. Same for the plot, and the new control/aiming method is perfect after a while!

My fav will remain the original one obviously, because it was so fresh and scary! but this RE4 is the best of the saga!
