That lake looks perfect for skating. We have usually som much snow on the ice, that solid ice surface is very rare.
it's the same here, once every 5years the lake is frozen before the next snow arrives and a couple ice-skate days are possible (the larger lakes are up to 5km, so it take a while to pass the lake).
Ice skating on a "black" ice surface is one of the best thing I've ever done before
