Default Shed a tear with me, my fellow JW Gents.

As a result of the California fires, an associate of mine has a friend that, unfortunately, felt the full brunt of the fires.

You can see the exhaust is all that was left of the Stradale, with the RS being nothing more than a shell.

Very sad.

After

that's just terrible it's really sad he couldn't get his cars out of the garage... but i guess your family and life is more important than the cars.

Now that's a real shame... two of the most desirable cars lost

But does the 2nd picture mean we can conclude that German car engineering is way better than Italian?

The fire must have snuck up on him quickly 'cuz if I knew it were coming I would be packing things and kids into the cars and heading for the sunset. The house can burn!

Well there's my Monday morning quarterback statement.

Poor guy, I can't imagine what it's like. I'm sure he did the right thing.

It was rather amazing how fast many of the fires were moving. I'm talking action film fast.

LOL, I re-read my post and realized that if I headed for the sunset in so-cal I'd only make it back into the fire - or into the Ocean. So make it the sunrise.

Sad sight to see, but what matters is that they're ok. I can't even imagine what it must be like to lose your house, possessions, etc.
