Default WHy is everything WMP9 suddenly?
Any streaming video i play that was played through WMP on a website, is suddenly coming up as WMP 9 i'm using firefox. Any ideas?

Check the following registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ ShimInclusionList

If Firefox.exe is listed then it'll use WMP9, otherwise it'll use the "classic" WMP6.x

so what do i do if firefox is in there? I use firefox as my browser but it only started with the wmp9 the day before i posted

ok, so firefox.exe is in there, but it's displaying the old style WMP (which i thought was 9 but i'm a dumbass). so how do i fix it?
