we don't want dumbass suckbama to take our guns away, matter of fact I much rather there was no0 ban on fully autoamtic weapons, it would cull the crime rate a lot in places like NYC, by the way, we should have concealed carry in new york city, imagine all the criminals that would be killed off... I hate the fact that you cannot own a gun in new york city without all sorts of legal troubles, in fact this fucking state acts against the constitution by denying us the right to own guns unless you pay nearly your full year earnings in lawyers fees and forms

no one has guns = good
bad guys has guns but good guys don't = bad
bad guys has guns and good guys has guns = equilibrium

I am not a big fan of guns myself, but if too many bad ppl around my living area has guns, I will probably felt safer wtih one too.

and that is the thing, in new york city the vast majority of criminals have guns while we hard working folk are at their mercy, this is wrong, the thing is that if you illegally obtain a gun you can go to prison where you will get loved tenderly by a huge dude with a squeaky voice... so our given right to get a gun and protect our family and property is taken away, no equilibrium here, why you ask? it is because new yorkers in the vast majority are socialist pricks, and believe that guns are bad all the time while it is clearly the opposite

How many idiots would dare to break the window of your car and take the radio while you cower inside your home waiting for them to live if they thought you would kindly place a hollow point slug in the back of their head? who would try to jump you at a light if they had reason to think you would most likely pull your gun and shoot that knife off their hands?

I believe in places like NYC, crime would go down tremendously if the law allowed people to legally have guns, sure they say you can, but you have no idea how difficult it is here, it is a good thing I now live across the bridge in Jersey, I fucking hate NYC,, too bad I got to work there

Yes, but gun laws need to be commensurate with gun crime. In the US, criminals aren't complete without guns and therefore regular folks need guns to create 'equilibrium' as it was so delicately put. In other countries, where the proliferation of guns is limited, there is no need for people to pack guns in their belts for protection. I don't think many people in the history of Australia have bought guns for protection with the exception of gangsters. Perhaps campers in the Northern Territory who might face up to some crocodiles.

Actually the NYC gun ban is unconstitutional, well they all are, in 02 George Bush direct all the states in the union to remove there ban on conceal carry due to the fact its not legal, so far all but two have removed it Illinois and Wisconsin. Which are two of the most politically corrupt states.

The ban comes from the late 1800s when they wanted to keep immigrants hands off guns, which is BS because again they can't regulate it in the first place.

Look at all the countries that have banned guns and what happened shortly after, India, China, Brazil, Germany...

Some gun fun facts:

Switzerland requires every male over the age of 20 to own an assault rifle, Switzerland is found to be one of the safest countries in a recent study.

Unlike most European countries the Czech gun laws allow its citizens to carry a concealed weapon without having any specific reason.

New Jersey adopted what sponsors described as "the most stringent gun law" in the nation in 1966; two years later, the murder rate was up 46% and the reported robbery rate had nearly doubled.

In 1976, Washington, D.C., enacted one of the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation. Since then, the city's murder rate has risen 134% while the national murder rate has dropped 2%.

In the US, since Osama has taken office the total number of guns background checks in the first three months of 09 would completely arm China and India's Military (3.7 Million background checks).

There are many other factors contributing to increases in murder rates as well as crime rates generally, and maybe gun restriction is ONE of those factors in certain countries.
But it has been shown in studies that socioeconomic reasons have a direct impact in increased crime/murder rates (see NYC in the 80's with the spread of crack like an epidemic).

I haven't come across a study proving a direct link to gun restriction in the same way....i completely understand the thinking that if an average citizen of any city carried a weapon then some so called "gangster" would think twice about using his....not sure though, experience of London and escalating gun crime over the last decade (in certain ghetto-ish areas admittedly) makes me think that if all Londoners were allowed to carry weapons then it would be very hard to make that rush hour commute to and from work!

Nonetheless, a constitution is a constitution.

The one fact that is verified theoretically, conceptually, rationally, historically, normatively and empirically; no one can deny that. Anti gun people NEVER mention Switzerland.

I'd feel much safer if everyone had a gun, here is an excellent short and detailed investigative journalism piece on guns by John Stossel:

Myth: Guns increase crime:

Tell me about it, I think about Texas's economic policies many many times everyday; some of them seem too good to be true!

Great Videos RC, wow fast cars and now gun topics.

I believe Texas is the world's 10th largest economy. No State income taxes. Only downer is the humidity and the ocean water is chocolate milk in nearby Galveston.

But as far as guns are concerned we are the old West. The State legislature is considering "open carry" instead of "concealed carry". Right now you must keep your handgun hidden. College campuses will not be gun free shortly.

This one is my favorite. It is a FNH 5.7 5.7x28mm, it will be the first one banned, when the current administration get around to it. The Secret Service uses it as it will penitrate armor. Note the bullets. I like it as it so accurate with very little kick.

This is Bayou Rifles. So in addition to all the race tracks we have tons of shooting ranges. This one is out doors and is located inside the City limits. Note the sweater. Great afternoon for shooting.

Only problem now is there is no ammunition anywhere for sale and gun prices have skyrocketed.
