That was weird. I think he got scared (suprised) of other cars ... He was not such bad driver - most of the people would jerk hard right after hitting the wall, spinning, hitting other cars ... He renmained calm, slowed a bit, used his turn signal ...
Just bad luck I guess ...

Or maybe it was some mechanical failure? I mean why would it happen twice? Or why would he continue racing after almost hitting it the first time?

see torque steer comments. it seemed to happen on the gear changes. though i want to say he should have been pulling right if it truly was torque steer since on an open diff the right wheel is the drive wheel.
