May 20: Lamborghini Miura Celebration Rally
I think you all know by now that the Miura is by far my favourite car ever. And I'll never sait it too loud or too many times! I am in love with such car, and despite living in a lucky area, I didn't see tons of them, especially on the road.. just one
Well I added another 12 yesterday!!!!!!!!! A small rally, from Gstaad to Monte Carlo, to celebrate the Miura's 40th birthday! I was so glad I had the time to be there at the start in Gstaad! Just to die for!!
Click any preview to be taken to the full 55 high-res pics update
The highlight of the show was probably the one and only, perfect to every detail, Miura Jota replica, built by the factory following precise infos on the only Jota ever built (and then crashed). Many don't like it but IMO it's one of the ultimate sightings hands down
But talking about rare and collectable Miuras I think this is even more sought after.. ex Shah of Iran's, ex Nicolas Cage's, beautiful color combo and perfectly fit... stunning SVJ (that's basically how it is called an SV improved with Jota elements to a certain extent)
And this bloody gorgeous black SV??????? Last Miura leaving the factory, it has some minor Jota elements too and it's
A 350GT on the road is always a bit thing IMO!
I don't have many infos about this mondel. Based on a 400GT, rebodied by Nembo and called 400 GT Monza. Gorgeous isn't it?
This is another OOAK. It's an SV upgraded to a Jota lookalike or almost. Its first owner happened to have owned the one and only real Jota and wanted to replicate it. Can't remember now who did this job, but some indipendent guys that worked previously for Lambo maybe. I think it has an SVR engine actually. Called the Millechiodi
Perfect garage?
A couple more SV. The yellow one is actually an SV prototype

Thank goodness Ferrari had such bad customer service - otherwise Ferucci may never have been pissed off enough to bring us this, one of the greatest cars ever.
TT - what was the sound like? You need to take a videoographer with to these events

Well, I know, but it's already enough to try and use proprely a camera.. can't just record vids.. too complicated to have two devices
The sound is of course amazing. The SVJ or Jota really are incredibly loud, but the whole bunch was like an orchestra!

AMAZING CAR!!
One of the most beautiful sculptures on wheels, and it is one of my favorite as well.
Its great to hear that you've got to see your favorite car in this rally TT. Must have been an amazing site like u said.
I have yet to see it in person, but I'll definitely remember the day when I will!

It's Ferruccio Lamborghini, and that story is most likely a myth, but a good one

I'm in shock! It's very rare to see so many significant, special Lamorghini's from the same period together!! The Jota, the SVJ, the Monza, an SV proto.... That's amazing! Thanks TT!

LOL, it's already difficult to "get her permission" to attend such events let alone taking her with me! She probably came to two of the 2 bilions events I visited these past years

Oh I didn't know you like Miuras, should've told me so I could've shown you mine before I sold it.
The black SV is my favourite! Stunning gathering and equally great pics.
